Bird-Watching: November to March Game-Viewing: May to October |
The best time to visit is the dry season – May to October – which, oddly enough, happens to be when the Okavango Delta is in flood. During the dry season wildlife flock to the watering holes and the bush is at its thinnest, making game far easier to spot. Skies are clear, rain is rare and nights are chilly. For bird-watching enthusiasts, the wet season is particularly popular. This runs from November to March. Migratory birds flock to the plains; and a further advantage is the many new-born animals!
