KENYA
Kenya is rightfully described as “All of Africa in One Country”. At the heart of East Africa it straddles the equator and offers immense diversity: snow-capped mountains, savannah, flamingo-rich lakes and colourful tribes.

Kenya’s wildlife can be enjoyed all year round, but the long dry season is from July to October, which coincides with the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra in the Maasai Mara. There is little rain and low humidity and, since the bush is at its thinnest, game is easiest to view around this time of year. January to February brings the calving season – also a popular time of year to visit. It’s a good time of year for snorkelling and diving too.
Kenya’s rainy season runs from March to May, April being the wettest month. The heavy rains bring run-off into the rivers which, in turn, reduce visibility in the sea – so diving is best avoided at this time of year.
