For an unforgettable experience, spend a few days on a houseboat soaking in the natural beauty surrounding Lake Kariba. The haunting cry of the fish eagle will stay with you forever. Sunset cruises, privately-guided canoe safaris, day and night game-drives and big-game fishing are just some of the activities available. We have gone as far as hand-selecting propeller-free safari boats that, given their design, can take you to remote places which no other craft are able to reach, allowing for spectacular close-up game viewing.

Zambia has a sub-tropical climate. The best time to visit is the dry season which spans May to October, when wildlife flock to watering holes and the bush is at its thinnest, making game far easier to spot. Skies are clear, rain is rare and nights are chilly. Around September water levels are low – which means that spray from the Victoria Falls doesn’t block the view. The rainy season spans November to May – when many lodges close. For bird-watching enthusiasts, the wet season is particularly popular. Migratory birds flock to the plains and new-born animals abound.
